Reducing Belt


The dream of the fifties - losing weight by magic.
This was one way, the vibrating belt exercise machine. My next door neighbor Mammy had one and I loved watching her "shake the pounds off!"
Mammy didn't wear those kinds of outfits though.

Grit, America's Greatest Family Newspaper


Ralph Crawford at Antiques on Broad displaying the proper way for a Grit salesman to carry his newspapers. You can't see it but the bag is open on the front side for easy withdrawal of the paper. Ralph has the bag along with a number of old Grit issues at his shop.
