This is a fun photo, but It appears the date on the East Tennessee premiere of GONE WITH THE WIND is incorrect. According to the official website of GWTW, it had its world premiere in Atlanta in December of 1939, so it would not have played in Kingsport--or anywhere else in 1938. The photo of the State Theatre premiere most probably dates from around Christmas of 1939 or January of 1940.
