Four Decades at Lincoln

Jeannie Hodges, the long-time office assistant at Lincoln School, was feted Tuesday with a limo ride to Meadowview for breakfast and a program in the auditorium for the entire school. Here are a few photos from the soire along with the program.

I also have a story that didn't make it into my column:

Teacher Jennifer Griffin told me that as Jeannie left in the limo for her celebration breakfast, her own first grade son asked, “Mommy, when you’ve been here forty years will they send a limousine to pick you up?

“No,” she told her son. “They’ll send a hearse.

Here's the program for the event.
