I Love Beach Music
A recent column focused on Beach music and Kingsport's contribution, the Monzas. Here's a link to a forthcoming book about Myrtle Beach, the Shag dance and beach music. The book is titled "The Hey Baby Days of Beach Music" and will be released at the same time as a 14-CD compilation of Beach Music that will include Monzas songs.

One of my oldest, dearest friends, &, besides, a Monza, has died. He was a physicist, a marveleous musician (all the neighbors of every age came to my back yard to hear him one night... 42 years ago), a wit extraordinaire. He was one of my "brothers", protectors, and crazy nut friend. Never, EVER let any opportunity pass to let someone know how important they are and have been in your life. Please.
