The Sherwood Restaurant

While researching my column on long homeruns, I came across this ad for Sunday dinner at the old Sherwood Restaurant, which was at the corner of Fort Henry Drive (known then simply as Johnson City Highway) and Sherwood Road. It was later the site of a Pizza Hut, then, briefly, a Mexican Restaurant. There's a sign up now. It will soon be a Diamond Exchange. I guess it's the first time something other than a restaurant was on that corner in at least sixty years.
